Vintage Maternity Dress

Genuine vintage black and red maternity dress from "Mum's The Word" range at Dorothy Perkins. I have been unable to confirm the sort of date this range was made but from the style of the dress I would say the dress is probably from the late 80's or early 90's. It is still in great condition for it's age, but some signs of wear are to be expected with a vintage item like this. As such, the fabric surface has some pilling and the neck ribbon edge slightly frayed (although this could be easily trimmed and hot sealed to prevent recurrence). The dress has pleats to the front beginning at the mid-bust, giving plenty of room for a baby bump, and it ties to the back with the waist ties a little higher than on non-maternity clothing, so it will pull in from above the bump rather than the middle of it. The sleeves are between half and 3/4 length, and the collar has two hook and eye fastenings on the back. I don't have a mannequin (or a person) with a bump so I have tried to hold the fabric forward as best I can to show the roominess! I have worn this while not pregnant also, by leaving the waist ties loose on the sides and nipping it in with a belt instead (see last 2 images)
