Vintage hardcover book with dust jacket entitled, “DMC Encyclopedia of Needlework” by Therese de Dillmont. Revised Edition. 788 pages of text; 16 colored plates; and 1,174 illustrations. Made in France. There is no date printed but I believe this book dates from the 1950s.
This is an extensive instruction book on various forms of needlework including: tatting, goldwork, macrame, linen embroidery, knitting, filet lace, needle-made laces, appliqué work, and many more.
Condition is used. The dust jacket has overall wear including staining, fading, taping, loss of paper, creasing, and edge wear. The front endpapers have staining. The interior pages are in good condition except for page 87/88 which had a piece cut out and partially restored with tape. There is NO offensive odor to the book. No writing in book. Tight binding.
